FactSet Research Systems Inc. Partners with Ibbotson Associates to Service Wealth Managers
GREENWICH, Conn. & CHICAGO, Feb 12, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE:FDS), a major supplier of online research and analysis to the global investment community, and Ibbotson Associates (http://www.ibbotson.com), a leading provider of asset allocation and investment knowledge tools, today announced a partnership to link Ibbotson's Portfolio Strategist financial planning software to WealthScope, FactSet's new web-based wealth management application.
The WealthScope application offers financial advisors, registered representatives, and private bankers in-depth portfolio analysis and key insight into their investment review process. Unlike other share ownership data providers, WealthScope provides more than just static views of data. Through a broad set of interactive reports, users can make full use of WealthScope's sophisticated database to sort, analyze, and interpret the information. Company-specific ownership data is also easily accessible.

Ibbotson Portfolio Strategist users will be able to easily access mutual fund holdings information on all funds in the Ibbotson database through FactSet's WealthScope application. Specifically, users will be able to check for common equity positions across fund holdings and then combine these positions with directly held equities to evaluate hidden sector, geographic, style, or capitalization class exposures.
