Seven Investment Management (7IM) Selects FactSet to Provide Data and Analytics to Investment Professionals

October 1, 2015

7IM, one of the UK’s leading providers of investment management services for private and professional investors, has selected FactSet (NYSE: FDS | NASDAQ: FDS) to deliver financial information and analytics to their team of investment professionals based in the UK.

The formalized relationship represents a decision by 7IM to make FactSet, a leading provider of financial data and analytics to investment professionals worldwide, a valuable part of their investment process. This has helped facilitate communication between relationship management and investment management roles at the firm.

7IM now has access to distilled news summaries from FactSet StreetAccount, which helps users find crucial market intelligence quickly. In addition to StreetAccount’s global market summaries, clients also have access to regularly published topical summaries on macroeconomic issues, political issues, oil, and sector moves.

FactSet’s interactive charting tools also played a role in 7IM’s decision to sign on with FactSet. The ability to create multiples for advanced analysis, as well as the option to receive batched and personalized reports at any given time, have created key advantages for the company. With 7IM’s focus on timeliness, FactSet’s integration with Microsoft Office allows the investment team to use the latest data and dynamically update their models and presentations at any time.

“We’re so pleased that 7IM has chosen to rely on FactSet for a number of front office workflows,” says Greg King, Director of Wealth Management Strategy at FactSet. “Now, more than ever, because the industry is evolving quickly, scalability is critical. Our partnership with 7IM gives them the content and solutions they need to support and grow their evolving strategies.”

7IM now has access to FactSet’s round-the-clock global support services. It also has a dedicated local account team to assist with projects, provide in-person training, and to keep users informed of the latest product enhancements. Most importantly, 7IM now has the ability to tailor the software to its individual workflows, as FactSet’s service model incorporates client feedback into future product updates and technology innovations.

Justin Urquhart Stewart, Head of Corporate Development at 7IM, comments that, “FactSet’s high level of personal service is a key reason we have decided to implement its software. We look forward to our continued partnership with FactSet to support the future growth of our business."
